Vapiano's @ DC

I really like the concept at Vapiano's, and if you have a large group of people it really helps paying the bill at the end. So when you first walk in, everyone is handed a card - guard that card. There are various stations for food; pasta, salad, soup, pizza, dessert, and drinks. When you decide what you want, you go to the station, you order your food and you swipe your card. Your order is on your card. You get your food, get a table and eat up! You pay at the end as you exit with your card. Each person pays what's on their card. Pure and simple for major groups, no math needed! Love the concept!

Now on the food, it's decent, it's good, but not amazing Italian food. However things are made fresh, which is a plus.

Scampi
nice lemon flavor, pasta cooked al dente, shrimp was cooked perfectly - plump and succulent, and i liked the spinach too. added nice color to the plate

Cabonara
creamy and good flavor. however not enough pancetta
