Laurel Restaurant II @ China (shenzhen)

So since Laurel is the safest place to eat in Shenzhen, we ate dinner there too after we shopped! It was my mom's birthday so it was her celebration :)

Pre-Dinner Appetizer - bean sprouts and fish cake

Slicing the Peking Duck

Peking Duck
crispy skin and a little meat attached

Condiments for Peking Duck
[mustard, pineapple, cucumbers, hoisin sauce]

Peking Wrappers

Peking Sandwich
better than the previous night! the pineapple really adds to the flavor. i had three of these :P

Shrimp
ok there is a special name for this gigantic shrimp that resembles a lobster, but i really don't remember/know what it is. all i know was it was DELICIOUS! Plump! Juicy! Tender! Shell was nice and crispy to just eat it like potato chips and loves the brains! (roe) heheh

Crispy Fish
Pan Seared Tofu
sounds pretty regular right? well it's NOT! it's like crispy on the outside and soft-soft on the inside. not firm, but SOFT!

Chive Flower w. Shrimp
Veggie & Bean Curd in Soup

Chicken & Cow Stomach

Chinese Style Birthday Cake: lotus bun
the huge one is empty, but the little guys are filled with sweet lotus paste. i prefer cake cake, hehehe

 Fruit Basket
[watermelon, qumquat, starfruit, oranges]
