Macau Cafe @ Hong Kong (Central at Ferry Building)

We had to wake up pretty early that morning for Macau. Our ferry/super jet left at 7:30am, and it took about 30-40 minutes from Mei Foo to get to Central. We had left buffer time so that we could get some breakfast since we knew lunch wouldn't be until noon and we would be traveling with a tour group. We got to Central and had time to spare, and instead of going to a Hong Kong Style Cafe, we went to a Macau Style Cafe, which specializes in Macanese Style food in Hong Kong! Crazy, no? Hahaha. Breakfast was simple, and my mom immediately requested the Macanese Crispy Bun w. Pork Chop and Egg, apparently it's a specialty. I had no idea. The food was good, but the milk tea was lacking. Door Door was definitely still better.

Iced Milk Tea

Macanese Crispy Bun w. Pork Chop and Egg
so this was interesting to me, because i've never had or heard of the combination. the bun was amazing, and it really was crispy and light. really good, i would have enjoyed it by itself with some nice butter. the pork chop was average and more on the dry side. to make it better, i put the egg into the sandwich and it made it all the much better! i think i would have preferred my spam and egg at Door Door or my sausage egg mcmuffin from mcdonalds :P

Portuguese Egg Tart
my first portuguese tart of the trip and actually my first egg tart of the trip! initial reaction: better than in the states, however the egg was different. less creamy, and it was due to the fact that it was only "egg whites" too healthy for this penguin. the crush was really good though, but i had wayy better in Macau, you just wait and see!
