Zen Sushi @ Sacramento

Sacramento doesn't really have great sushi joints, and well my standards are pretty high right now, and it's difficult for anyone to meet them. However, Zen Sushi is not too bad for bento boxes, and reasonably price especially for lunch. Your choice of two item combo with rice, salad and fried wanton for $9.50. Not too shabby, especially when I was comparing prices with other eateries in midtown.

Benton Box: chicken katsu and tempura w. rice and salad
the chicken katsu was not bad, it wasn't oily or dry, however the shrimp tempura did have too much oil because i felt my slips were slick after one bite. it also had too much panko flakes and i had to scrape some off. the salad was good, but too much dressing, however the dressing was the right kind of miso dressing and not watered down. overall the meal was not too shabby :) will definitely try other places before i settle...i like to explore. thanks 'lil sib for treating me!

Cho Dang Tofu @ Sacramento

The other week this penguin wasn't feeling so hot, and feeling sniffly actually. I wanted some soup and comfort food. It might also be because the weather has been cooling down dramatically, and it calls for some noodle soup, porridge, and just plain soup in general. Cho Dang Tofu House completely hit the spot. This place was hard to find, while it is on Folsom Blvd., it's not "really" on it, you have to turn into a parking lot where there are shops further in. When I first walked in, I was like, "wow this place looks legit, it looks straight out of some korean person's kitchen." And what I mean by this is that it didn't look like a restaurant at all, no "furnishings" that has the "eating out" look, such as fancy tables, chairs, paintings etc. It was homey. I knew what I wanted immediately and it was tofu soup. But I was also starved, since I was waiting for rice rocket, because he just took is sweet time! But it was well worth it because for $15.99 I got pork tofu soup and bbq ribs (kabli). I definitely want to come back here, the problem is convincing others to go with me because it's a little out of the way (off of watt exit on the 50). [i'm not good with korean names so i'm not going to try to say what things really are in the native tongue :P]

Complimentary Small Plates

Pork Tofu Soup
this was amazing...so good for my throat, and so warm on a cold day. crack an egg in it...let it simmer while it cooks it through. stir. stir. stir. i made the mistake of being over zealous and didn't estimate how hot it was. i place a spoon full in my mouth and it BURNED. but really good. so some people like to add this to their bowl of rice, i kind of eat it like soup, and when it gets to salty i eat some rice. the problem is if i add it to rice, there's not enough rice for me. and i like to keep rice down to one bowl...no more. delish.

BBQ Ribs (kalbi)
this was actually really good and i was impressed. the meat was partially fatty so it had delicious flavor. it was well marinated and cooked. tasty.

BBQ Beef (bulgolgi)
not too shabby...i loved my soup and ribs though.

next time i will try the cold buckwheat noodle soup, and if they have it kimchi fried rice!

New Canton @ Sacramento

What a surprise! New Canton, dim sum right near school! Seriously only 3 minute drive away, and it's served everyday!! That's right, not just on the weekend. It wasn't too shabby either...taste and price. For three people during lunch it was $10 each, quite good. Taste wise, it is not San Francisco, and nothing will ever be San Francisco, but pretty good for Sacramento. I've definitely had worse. I will come back the next time I have a craving while studying. Yay!

Fu Pay Gurn
[pork wrapped in bean curd, then steamed]
loves it

Char Siu Bao
[bbq pork buns]

Siu Mai
[pork dumplings]
it honestly does the job. not the greatest kind out there...but good

Har Gow
[shrimp dumpling]

Xiao Long Bao
[shanghai dumplings]

Egg Custard

Cha Siu Cherng Fun
[BBQ Pork Wrapped in Rice Noodles]
ducky's favorite!

Ja Lerng
[chinese donut wrapped in rice noodles w. dried shrimp and chives]
ok this was really good, and i was really impressed. this dish is difficult to make, and not every where does a good or even descent job with it. this is also known as panda's eleanor, named after the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds," because he can never get it...

Beard Papa's

I'm sure that all, if not many, of you have had Beard Papa's Cream Puff, so you don't need me to tell you or explain how scrumptious it really is. I remember my first experience was when I was in UCLA, and I went to sawtelle to get food. It was amazing, and I was saddened that SF didn't have it yet, but now it's popping up all over. It's unlike any other cream puffs because it doesn't just have whipped cream in it, but flavorful-tasty-yummy vanilla custard. So there. Go get yourself a cream puff and enjoy :) Oh yea...I don't like the other flavors they have to offer, or the other treats that are there, I'm old school.

Taraval Okazu Ya @ Sunset

So I come home, and my mom tells me that there's this Japanese restaurant on Tarval that she liked. I immediately asked if it's as good as Tekka, and she goes "Tekka's expensive." Ok fine...I get the point. Apparently this place is really busy because we get there before 6pm on Sunday, and all the tables in the front are full. They put us in the "middle room" between the front of the restaurant and the back. In a matter of 5 minutes, the place fills up completely. The sushi menu is extensive, and it looks like there are a lot of good things. I'm starved, and super excited. I basically order EVERYTHING off the menu (sorry no pics for all...I got lazy): hamachi, spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, ankimo, salmon, uni, toro, scallops, tempura, hamachi kama, kani salad, oysters...and maybe more.

So initially things are looking good...but the hamachi was different...it tasted the same, but it was pink. Has anyone ever seek pink hamachi? I've never...in my experience it was always white or off white, or maybe even yellow in the low grades. Anyways, I didn't say anything because it tasted like yellow tail and it was fresh...so just probable a different grade..meh?

The downside of the ENTIRE meal, and why I will NEVER go back was the scallops. What they served to us...was not scallops, not even close. First of all when it came to the table, it wasn't pearly white...there was green onions and ginger on top of it, as well as some oil type dressing. Fine, maybe that's just what it looks like, just like the hamachi. I take one bite, and INSTANTLY, I knew it wasn't it. The texture was off, it wasn't fresh, it wasn't bouncy, there was no bite, there wasn't flesh. It just kind of sucked...majorly. I forced myself to swallow and finish the other half. I asked my mom and aunt for permission to say something to the waitress because, I didn't want to emabrass them. My mom even said it wasn't scallops, and that woman knows her seafood. I got our waitress' attention, and told her that this wasn't scallops. She proceeded to argue with me, and said it was...and then said she was going to take them away. The owner (asian-chinese lady) comes, and asks if there is a problem. I say, yes this isn't scallops. She too proceeds to argue with me (anyone heard of the customer is always right?). I tell her that it isn't, and she keeps insisting that it is. I tell her that I've been to at least three different japanese restaurants in the city, and they all give me the same "scallop" that is hotategai, but not here. I tell her that we've ordered tons of food, and I know my food. She still argues with me. She tells me that it's a different spieces or type, I tell her that her menu not only contained the Engish word "Scallops" but contained the Japanese equivalent of hotategai, which is the scallop that I know and love. I told her that I understand that there are different kinds of scallops, but the japanese word for scallops that she places in her menu, is not the type of scallops she served us. She said she would not charge us for the 4 that remained on the plate, but will still charge us for the 4 that we consumed (and they were forceably consumed). This woman wasn't done though, she went into the fridge and showed me the package that contained the scallops, and proceeded to explain that it's from Japan, and it's the highest grade. I again tell her that what she had on her menu...did not fit what was served. Plain and simple.

So there...never again. Don't argue with me...seriously. I eat well, I know my food, I love food. And above all I'm a lawyer in training...you think you can take me? Think again.

Oysters in Half Shell
ok so i've never been a fan of raw oysters...or just oysters for that matter, it's the stomach. it terrifies me. but i tried the tiniest one on this platter, and it was great. it was truly fresh, and tasty. i was not scared at all..so maybe i'll try two next time

Shrimp & Veggie Tempura
not bad....not great...but ok. better than other tempura that i've had, but still not amazing

Spicy Tuna Roll; Dragon Roll; Hamachi Sushi
spicy tuna was not bad...but i've definitely had better. dragon roll was good, but how do you really mess it up right? It's just avacado, unagi and crab...so yea. hamachi, it was good. it tasted like hamchi, but the color is off. it's not my camera, i promise! yellow tail doesn't look like that right??!

Hamachi Kama
my mom's favorite! it was really good....no complaints here

Ankimo (monk fish liver)
so this is my first time trying this...i was really curious, it's a delicacy i guess? i have no idea how much it cost. but i really liked it. i guess it might be an acquired taste, and i don't know how to quite explain what it tastes like. it was creamy...salty...and something else too. not sure how to put into words. but try it!

Salmon; Kani Salad; Uni
Kani salad was ok....not as great as isobune in japan town which is my favorite of all time, and seems like it will always be my favorite. uni was amazing...uni is sea urchin roe for those of you who don't know. the uni was fresh, smooth, creamy...and really good!

no picture of scallops...but they sucked for sure!

Cafe Bakery @ Sunset

Hong Kong style cuisine. While I haven't gone to Hong Kong yet, to truly attest to what Hong Kong style cooking really is, but San Francisco is the best place that I've been to, that has the best Hong Kong style cooking. Amazing baked rice dishes, beef steak dishes, club sandwiches, borscht soup...and above all...FRIED CHICKEN WINGS. These aren't normal fried chicken wings that Americans are use to ordering, they're not breaded with however many spices like KFC, or dipped repeatedly in buttermilk, flour and egg. They're seasoned in i-don't-know-what, and then just fried...as is. No flour mixture, no buttermilk, not dipped in egg..nada. Just crisp skin. Truly delicious.

Fried Chicken Wings w. French Fries
what a deal! $5.69 for 8 pieces of drumettes and wings, over french fries!

[more] Shoki Ramen @ Sacramento

Shoki Ramen truly is amazing. I just had to go back. Had to have another bowl. Had to have another noodle. This time I tried the Tan Tan Men...the broth was amazing, and added a nice kick of spice that the other broth didn't have. What would make it that much better is if I added cha siu to it...then...it would be the ULTIMATE RAMEN!

Maybe another visit for me soon...next time..donburi and ramen. What can I say, I'm adventurous!

Tamaya Sushi @ Sacramento

Has anyone else noticed that over the past 3 years or so that Japanese restaurants have been popping up like Starbucks? Apparently it's "trendy" for new restaurant entrepreneurs to open "cool" Japanese restaurants or sushi bars, but more specifically asian fusion type. Additionally, has anyone else noticed that all such type restaurants their sushi rolls are loaded with sauce? the fish is never fresh..and well flavors are distinct because they are just melded together. Well! While Tamaya is like one of these restaurants, I'm happy to report that it isn't loaded with sauce! The rolls aren't ginormous...and this place isn't really trying "hard." While it still isn't the best sushi, because well we all know that my heart goes to this small mom and pop place, Tamaya is good and I will go again! This is da-yogi's fav place, and I can see why :)

Phoenix Roll & Hamachi Nigiri
[Phoenix Roll: tempura shrimp, unagi, crab w. unagi sauce]
so when i look for at sushi menu and see what roll i want...mentally i have specificiations...i like avacado, i like unagi, i like tempura shrimp, i like crab, i like tuna, i like hamachi and i don't like salmon. and while i understand that the combinations may not go well together, i tend to find interesting things like cream cheese, albacore, bay scallops, seaweed salad, and other things. i like simple...i don't like lots of sauce. and well the pheonix roll did it for me! it was really good, and simple. simple sauce, it wasn't poured all over the roll.
the hamachi...did it's job. it wasn't the bestest cut of the fish, but it did it's job. i love yellow tail...it has a unique flavor that other fishes don't have. i can't explain it...do you know what i'm talking about?

Dad's Sandwich Shop @ Sacramento

Did you know that Sacramento has a lot of sandwich shops? It does. I'm not talking about your average sandwich that consists of: your choice of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Nope...none of that at all. There is specialty...such as Dad's Sandwich Shop. This place is TEENY, there are three tables on the inside and three tables outside on the sidewalk. You can smell the sandwiches that are cooking there from a block away, and I guarantee that you will smell like food after wards...cause I did! Apparently 'lil sib likes sandwiches...or rather it appears she has a weird obsession with them...so I foresee that I will be having other sandwich excursions in the future!

Angry Road Man
[turkey, bacon, swiss, roasted red onion, red bell peppers, mushrooms w. garlic spread, black olive mayo...all on sourdough]
gawd there are a lot of ingredients on this baby! but it all goes well together...and yes while i may have felt guilty for eating this and was thankful that i have bikram in my life, it was awfully good! everything oozed and melded together as i chomped down. i guess the one thing i need to take off of this baby are the olives, i just don't do olives.

Curry Chicken over Rice

A success! I've tried making curry so many times, and I've always failed. While this curry chicken isn't restaurant worthy....it was not too shabby...not too shabby at all. it probably would have been better if i used coconut milk instead of water, but i didn't want to clog my arteries ;)

Recipe:
- chicken (breast pieces, chicken pieces with bone, drum sticks, wings, etc)
- potatoes
- two carrots
- lemon grass
- garlic minced
- 1 onion
- one can of coconut milk or one "can" of water
- 1 tbsp curry powder (yellow, red, green, etc)

--take potatoes and carrots. peel and cut into chunks. heat up a pan and add oil. pan fry the potatoes and carrots until each side is "crisp" this prevents the potato from later dissolving
- remove potatoes and pan fry the chicken until crisp...get a nice coat. however if you use chicken breast pieces, just toss it around for a little bit
- remove chicken, add onion, garlic and lemon grass mixture and stir around to get flavors out
- add chicken and potatoes to the "flavor" mixture. mix around...toss around and make sure things are incorporated
- add curry powder to all of it, and mix, mix mix!
- add liquid, either coconut milk or water and stir
- cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes. make sure chicken is cooked and potatoes. add salt and pepper for flavor, or if you're adventurous add fish sauce!

Oh yea did i forget to mention that you should make rice? Yea you should do that...or it won't be good.

One Speed Pizza @ Sacramento

Officially, I will stop being amazed when I find good eats in Sacramento. Officially. I will accept that I will never find good chinese, japanese, vietnamese, thai...or just in general asian food. I have come to terms with that. However, Sacramento does have "random" or "weird" eats that I can't really put into a category. Take for example, One Speed Pizza. Is it a pizza joint? Is it a restaurant? Is it American faire? I don't know...however I do know is that you can get cheap wine, good pizza, and good beets! Who knew? [btw for those of you who know sac eats, this place is owned by the same people of waterboy, but the menu is way more affordable]

This post is to ducky and da-yogi. A great meal, great friends and great convos. Hope we do this again! Let's do this place for brunch one day!

Wine!!
one class for $3.75, or half a carafe for $10...a steal!

Heirloom Tomato Panzanella
i heart tomatoes...did you know that? i can eat them in any form, whether they be cooked or raw. they must be in every sandwich and hamburger or it just won't do. and as for this lovely heirloom salad with fresh mozzarella...it was just simply to die for. so fresh, so flavorful, so simple, and oh so simple. more please?

Roasted Beets
[with feta, picked onion, fresh mint and orange]
as ducky says it's BEETS! BEETS!! BEETS! if you didn't know she love love loves beets, and not a fan of uncooked tomatoes. heheh. now the last time i ate a beet was when this penguin was in elementary school and it was a side dish during lunch when i was in child care during the summer. i just remeber not liking it very much. i gave this beet dish a try, and surprisingly they were good. i think it's cause of the feta...feta's good :) but BEETS!

Special Pizza of the Day
[prosciutto, onions, mozarella, gouda]
so this pizza sounded really good, like really good. i think the selling point was the gouda on the cheese...remember how i said i love love love gouda? well i've never had it on pizza, so it has to be amazing right?!?! well the pizza was good...and let me tell you the crust/dough on this baby, its quite scrumptious...it's thin, its crispy and just wowza. however, i didn't taste the gouda. and that was disappointing. so maybe pizza and gouda don't mix? maybe they didn't put enough gouda on it? who knows...but! the next pizza...flavors POP!

Sausage Pizza
[housemade italian, mozzarella, peperonata, broccoli rabe, tomato sauce]
ok this pizza was really good...and i think the three of us were definitely in agreement over this. the homemade sausage was spicy, sweet, salty, juicy and much more. but i think what topped it off was the broccoli rabe, because the flavor of it really popped out of the pizza. it was unique, it was distinct, it was fantastic!!!

Melt Bar & Grilled @ Lakewood

Everyone loves a grilled cheese sandwich right? Well....then you'll LOVE Melt Bar & Grilled. It's kind of this hip place, and nothing fancy...but the individuals working there are definitely characters, and they have a bar! So it's grilled cheese sandwiches and beer! This place more than just your grilled cheese sandwich and soup, they have specialty sandwiches that they grill like grilled cheese, and no not like panini. They use texas size toasts, and these sandwiches take over 20 minutes or so to make. So yes lots of love. I didn't get to try the tomato soup, and the sandwich was too big. Panda and I could only eat half of our individual sandwiches. Next time, one sandwich...the bestest one...and tomato soup. Oh yea...all sandwiches comes with natural cut fries and cole slaw.

Smokey Russian
[smoked turkey, fresh napa vodka kraut, smoked gouda, russian dressing]
this was really good...especially the smoked gouda...i love gouda, did you know that? it's my favorite cheese! that and havarti, but yes gouda...so melted gouda in a sandwich...that is heaven. this sandwich came with homemade russian dressing, and it made the sandwich even better because with each bite i would spread some dressing on it. yum yum...however...this sandwich was nothing compared to what panda got...

Wake and Bacon
[fresh amish farmed fried eggs, crisp bacon, american]
this sounds simple enough right? and i make enough breakfast sandwiches, so what could be so special about it? how about texas size toast! cheese on both sides, sandwich between fried egg and bacon. and you know how this sandwich is cut into two, well there's a fried egg (yolk and all) on each half! yayyy!! yea...this sandwich was great, way better than mine. this is what i want next time...

Momocho @ Ohio City

Mod Mex. Another surprise from Ohio! Quite tasty fancy mexican food...and no I'm not talking about Chevy's or Chipotle....but Momocho. The decor inside was pretty good, and I guess if you're sheltered you'd think "satanic" than cool because there are crosses all over the place. Some in the right position, and others on the side, or upside down (anti-christ, as some would say). Additionally, there were a lot of pictures of individuals that look like Nacho Libre...who are they? Matadors? Masked some thing or other. Anyways, the food was really good, and yes a tad pricey, but I believe worth it. What sucked us in here in the first place is that they have a 3 course dinner for $30 per couple, so what a deal right?!?! Well when we got there, like most prixe fixe meals, the actual menu looked a lot more appetizing. You ready for yummy food pics? always! because i know that this blog keeps you entertained while at work or in class, and keeps your tongue salvilating!

First Floor

Sangria

Guacamole Sampler
[from left to right; Smoked Trout w. Bacon and chile poblano; Blue Crab w. corn and chile chipotle; Goat Cheese w. tomato and chile pobalano]
man...sampling of guacamole! it's a great deal, because each guac for the same size is $8, but for all three it's $18! i was really excited about the blue crab guac, but it wasn't that tasty after all. the best was the smoke trout and goat cheese. i know they sound like a weird mixture, but those ingredients really brought the flavors out. addicting...very

Fresh Chips
ok these chips were really good...fresh corn, freshly fried and lightly salted. better than all the other eateries that provide chips...and even better with guac sampler!

Duck Confit Taquitos
[duck confit, corn, onions]
this dish was simply prepared with the duck confit mucho succulent. so when i read the menu and it said taquito, i was thinking of...well what i know of taquitos..corn tortilla wrapping meat and deep fried. well, i guess taquito here is "make your own taco." which is precisely why it's just a plate of meat, and comes with two different sauces: salsa verde and honey-chipotle mojo. personally i preferred the mojo because the salsa verde didn't taste like anything.

Fresh Flour Tortillas

so when this dish came, and i made my first taquito, i took a bite. the flavors were amazing, and the duck confit was well infused in fat..haha. but for about a few minutes i couldn't figure out what kind of meat it was. i forgot that i ordered duck confit, and when the server came and asked me if i liked the duck confit...in my head i went "oh yea...it tastes like duck, not pork." haha yes...my palate and my brain stopped working for a few minutes.

Pork Chop al Carbon
[grilled pork chop over a bed of huitlecoche "tamale dumplings", corn and all topped with mole coloradito]
panda ordered this dish and it was TASTYYYY!!! the pork chop was cooked perfectly, and was not dry at all, or panda just gave me all the good pieces so i didn't taste anything bad. but honestly the best part of the disk was the "tamale dumplings" that were underneath the pork chop. i still don't know what they were made of, but they were rich, creamy, flavorful...and just really good. at the end instead of wrapping my duck confit in tortilla i just took some duck and some tamale and ate as is.

Creamy Vanilla Flan
so panda and i were really disappointed in this. i think we were both expecting something really creamy, and taste popping. i think we've had really good creme brulee before and was expecting something like that? the chef at momocho can really cook, but hey chef's and pastries chef's don't mix. chef's don't do desserts, and pastries chef's don't "cook"

go for the guac...go for the chips...go for the pork chops, but more importantly the tamales under the pork chops. my fav :)

Mitchell's Fish Market @ Woodmere

Panda & Penguin 5 year anniversary! Panda's eat bamboo...and that's not too tasty (side note, ever read the book Eats, Shoots and Leaves? i really liked it but i'm a linguistics nerd, the title has i believe three different interpretations). Penguins eat fish, very tasty! My panda is special and he eats fish too, so for dinner we went to Mitchell's Fish Market. The restaurant was very nice, and Panda and I were the only individuals that were under 30 there...and oh yea the only asians...but what else is new in Ohio. ha. our server was really good, because when he walked away and was at the next table, he overheard be saying "lets ask him what he recommends," and immdiately after serving that table, he came over and answered me. very nice! he also checked in on us periodically, and not in the annoying way, so it was nice. the food was good, and very fresh. this place is actually a fish market, and you can buy fresh fish that is flown in daily from around the world here, and take it home for you to prepare your own way. Btw...they have a style that you can have the fish made in "Shang Hai" is what they called it or "Shanghai" if you're educated and not ignornat, and more specifically it isn't "Shanghai" if you put asian spices in it...because Shanghai refers to a specific region in China and a specific way of cooking. Anyways...Panda doens't recommend it because he tried it once...honestly people that don't have much contact with asians shouldn't try to make "asian" flavors...you just fail. All in all, fish cooked in its most simple form, with simple seasoning...are tres delicious.

Sourdough Bread w. Butter
this bread was really good...it was fresh out of the oven, so the crush was crunchy/chewy and inside was warm and soft. we saved some, and asked for more, for our next dish...

Mussells
[cooked in garlic and white wine w. croutons]
this was amazing...it really was. the mussells were fresh, and the ingredients here were just so simple and clean...that it was all so tasty. what made it better was when you dipped the bread into the broth! wow....i could have had more

Caesar Salad
did i mention that they have a prixe fixe menu for $19.95. comes with your choice of house or caesar salad, an entree of three choices, and a dessert of two choices. this was the caesar salad with my prixe fixe meal, and it was actually really refreshing. it was light and crisp in between our entree and our mussell's.

Shrimp & Lobster Parpadelle in Alfredo Sauce
the pasta was very very fresh, and the shrimp was cooked really well, because when i bit into it was succulent and crisp - like how shrimp should be. it wasn't chewy, or overdone on the inside. the alfredo sauce was nice too, because it wasn't heavy on the cream or cheese, which would smother the taste of the seafood. my only complaint is the garlic toast that had red pepper flakes and i wasn't a fan because i wasn't expecting it and choked a lil.

Chillean Sea Bass w. Mashed Potatoes and Veggies
panda chose to have the chillean sea bass broiled in butter and lemon. it was goooddd!!! he said that the chillean sea bass wasn't "fatty" enough lol, i said that the fish probably had a lot of exercise. hehehe. i liked it. it was fresh, smooth and well flavored. i do have to say that i prepare sashimi to this...specifically toro tuna, yellow tail and fresh big scallops. lol that's just me though.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Cake
this was the better option compared to apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. we both though that it might be too rich, and maybe too peanut buttery..but it really wasn't. there was a nice balance, and we loved it. yum-o!

The Dog House @ Cleveland Heights

Think Hot Dog on a Stand at the Mall...you got the colors in your mind? This is what The Dog House looks like, but way way WAY more ghetto (I hope I don't get shot saying that). However, while the facade looks not too appetizing, the hot dogs were truly great...and it was great because they have fake/processed cheese! Now...i enjoy real cheese as much as the next person, but certain food items call for processed cheese: nachos, hot dogs and fries. The reason being is that when one has real cheese on either of these things and the cheese or the food item cools down...the cheese becomes congealed, chewy, greasy...and just not that good anymore. Anyways, my Chili Cheese Dog was great....cheese fries were great...my only complaint is that this place is over priced for Cleveland, and given how this place looks.

Chili Cheese Dog
hmmm the hot dog was grilled....and then poured chili over it, then processed cheese, and then wrapped in foil so it stays warm on the 5 minute walk to panda's apt...oh yay!

Cheese Fries
ok these fries were special...it's like they were fried once, and then coated with some batter, and then fried again! had a nice crunchy consistency
