Cosmo Cafe @ Sacramento

Modern dining in Sacramento...not too shabby at Cosmo Cafe. The decor is definitely modern, as you can tell from the website. There is a prixe fixe menu which is a definite plus, and well what caught my attention the most was the daily special...oh yea the rasberry mojito was delish! Either my tolerance was high or it was full of sugar! We ordered some apps too (no pictures). The tuna tartar was nice and fresh, but nothing spectacular - like any o ther tuna tartar. Wasn't a fan of the cheese plate, there was no havarti! Polenta fritter was ok...lots of cheese, no polenta. Weird. Got french fries too...that was good! but just like any other french fry.

Braised Short Ribs over Mashed Potatoes
ok the braised short ribs were amazing...and yes i know, i use that description all the time...but by amazing i mean juicy, and really tender. the mashed potatoes were creamy and the sauce from the braised short ribs were a perfect compliment. don't eat the radish...it made my vegetarian friend spit it out, which means us meat eaters will not like it for sure!

Red Velvet Cake
you can't get this at Cosmo Cafe, but it was my friend's bday cake and I just had to take a picture. This slice is humugous! The cake is even't bigger, too bad I didn't take a picture before hand...i didn't want the new people i just met to judge me :P the cake was ok...apparently it's the best, but i didn't like the frosting because it was a tad too salty for me. sprinkle's still has the best red velvet cupcake i've had
